Description
Traditional Lace Boot With Park-Friendly Cushioning
The K2 Overdraft is a mid-flex snowboard boot with traditional lacing on the outer shell and a BOA Conda system inside the liner. Flex 5 out of 10 — soft enough for park laps and jibbing, supportive enough that you're not flopping around on groomers. It's K2's freestyle-leaning boot at an accessible price point.
What's Inside
- Traditional laces (outer) — no reels, no cables. You pull them, you tie them. Some riders prefer this for the analog feel and easy replacement. Trade-off: slower to adjust mid-run than BOA.
- Conda liner lacing with BOA M1 dial — the liner has its own BOA dial on the outside of the boot. It pulls a urethane harness around your ankle for heel hold. This is where the real lockdown comes from. Adjustable on the fly, gloves on.
- Intuition Comfort Foam 3D liner — softer-density Intuition foam. Comfortable, resists pack-out, includes internal and external J-bars for extra ankle support. Not a heat-moldable performance liner, but solid for the price.
- Harshmellow insole and midsole — K2's proprietary dampening material replaces standard EVA foam. Absorbs impacts from landings and flat takeoffs. You feel the difference on a full day in the park.
- This Grips! cupsole — dual-density rubber outsole. Soft rubber in grip zones, harder rubber for durability. Good traction on icy walkways and lift ramps.
- Articulating cuff — the upper cuff flexes independently, so the boot bends naturally without distorting the lower shell.
Who It's For
Intermediate freestyle and all-mountain riders who want a comfortable, cushioned boot without spending $350+. Good match for park riders, casual all-mountain riders, and anyone who doesn't carve aggressively or bomb steep terrain. The flex 5 pairs well with soft-to-medium flex boards (3–6 range).
Worth Knowing
Traditional laces mean you'll need to stop and retie if things loosen up — no quick dial adjustment for the outer boot. The flex 5 is genuinely medium-soft; if you ride fast or need edge-to-edge response, the Maysis (flex 7, full BOA) is a better fit. This boot is about comfort and impact absorption first, precision second.
