Start with the insert. The mitt has Hestra's waterproof CZone insert. Hestra lists the Micron backhand fabric as windproof, waterproof and breathable. The palm is made of PU-grip. The insulation is Primaloft Gold, and the lining is brushed polyester. Hestra doesn't list the lining as removable.

The spec lists three features. An attachment for handcuffs, Hestra's name for wrist leashes, means a leash can be added so the mitt stays tethered to a small wrist when it comes off. Reflective details catch and return light, so a kid wearing these is easier to pick out in low light. The whole mitt also goes in the washing machine.
