Hestra CZone Alpine

Niak is a woven polyester fabric, and Hestra specifies it as windproof, waterproof and breathable. The palm is impregnated goat leather. Inside are the CZone insert, the Fiberfill and a brushed polyester lining. Hestra doesn't list the lining as removable.

The cuff is neoprene, and it closes with Velcro. Elastic at the wrist keeps the fit snug. A puller at the cuff gives you something to grab when you pull the glove on. There are also attachment points for handcuffs, Hestra's word for wrist leashes. The spec lists Wolf Paw construction as well.

Fiberfill insulation and the brushed polyester lining supply the warmth. Five separate fingers mean more dexterity than a mitt. The trade is that each finger keeps its own warmth. In a mitt, the fingers sit together and warm each other.

The CZone insert is the glove's waterproof layer, and the Niak backhand blocks the wind.

Black and Beige come in sizes 6 through 11. Candy comes in 6 through 10, so size 11 is Black or Beige only.

This is a unisex glove for skiers who want a waterproof insert and enough finger freedom for zippers and buckles. Hestra files it in its Alpine collection, which it describes as "developed with the recreational skier in mind."
