Hestra Army Leather Patrol 3-finger

Hestra calls Army Leather a specially treated goat leather that "withstands tough, outdoor conditions," and notes it was first used for military gloves. The Dobby fabric is windproof and breathable. The palm has outseams, meaning its seams are sewn on the outside, so no seam ridge presses into your palm and fingers.

The Bemberg/polyester lining follows the same three-finger shape and is removable. The neoprene cuff has a strap with Velcro closure to cinch it, and there's elastic at the wrist. Handcuffs (wrist leashes) mean the glove stays with you when you pull your hand out. You also get a carabiner, a hanging loop on the finger, and reinforcement details.

It's insulated with G-Loft and lined with Bemberg/polyester. The three-finger layout is a middle ground. Three fingers sharing one space warm each other, the way they would in a mitt, while the index finger stays free.

The fabric blocks wind and breathes. Hestra says Army Leather's structural properties provide "effective protection against moisture."

The 3-finger is unisex and offered in sizes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, with all six sizes in each of its four colors: Black, Navy, Charcoal and Olive.

It's part of Hestra's Alpine Pro line, which Hestra says is used by freeriders, mountain guides and ski instructors. Choose it if a five-finger glove leaves your fingers cold but a mitt feels clumsy.

For more dexterity, the Hestra Army Leather Patrol has five fingers, a neoprene cuff and outseams in the palm.
