Greenland Wax is a garment-care product — it has nothing to do with ski wax or snow performance. If you own a Fjällräven jacket, pants, or bag made from G-1000 fabric, this is the wax you use to keep it water-resistant and wind-tight. The formula is paraffin and beeswax, no PFAS or fluorochemicals. You rub it on in long strokes, then melt it into the fabric with a hair dryer or a warm iron set around 55–60°C. One 90 g block covers roughly ten garments worth of treatments.
Who should skip it: anyone looking for ski glide wax, grip wax, or snowboard base treatment — this is not that product. It also won't work on DWR-coated synthetics, down shells, or most other technical fabrics. It's designed exclusively for Fjällräven's G-1000 material, and Fjällräven recommends re-waxing periodically as the wax wears off with use and washing.
