A two-piece in-mold shell fuses the outer shell to EPS foam, keeping the listed weight to 400 g / 16 oz in Youth Medium. Zonal Koroyd and Mips are supplemental impact-management technologies; the helmet is certified to ASTM F 2040 and CE EN 1077:2007 Class B. No helmet can prevent every injury, so fit it level and snug and replace it after a significant impact.
The micro-adjustable dial lets a parent or young rider fine-tune the fit. Measure around the widest part of the head, just above the eyebrows and ears, and choose the size that fits now rather than leaving room to grow. The Snapfit SL2 ear pads are removable and compatible with audio chips.
16 vents and one-handed Regulator climate control let the rider open or close airflow as conditions change. AirEvac ventilation is designed to work with Smith goggles by moving warm air away from the goggle area to help manage fog. Goggles and audio accessories are sold separately.
