Best for: Women and other lighter riders who split their days between park features and groomers and want full camber under a twin. It also suits riders who want a sintered base on a women's Burton twin, and riders who spend half the day switch, since nose and tail widths match and the stance location is 0 on every length.
Not for: First-season riders should start on something gentler; of the two Burton women's twins compared here, we would point them to the Yeasayer. Powder-first riders should pass as well, since this centered twin carries a 0-60% powder bar. And anyone who sizes straight off a weight table will need another route, because the weight row on this board's 26/27 size chart holds dashes, not numbers.

The Burton Women's Talent Scout Camber is a true-twin park board on full camber, back for 26/27 after a season out of Burton's line. An independent 2027 preview reports the return, and Burton names Anna Gasser, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott and Telma Sarkpaju as riders who trust it.
Camber carries the design. Burton describes its camber bend as built for powerful turns, pop and smooth edge control from tip to tail; here it sits under a symmetrical shape and flex with a centered stance on every length, so the board behaves the same whichever foot leads. Women's Specific Triax fiberglass is Burton's torsionally softer layup for lighter riders, and Pro-Tip thins the tip and tail to cut swing weight. The sintered base is sold on wax absorption and glide. The core is Burton's Super Fly II 700G; its 26/27 listing no longer names the Dualzone EGD of the 24/25 board and adds a SmoothRide card, without saying why, so we read reviews of the earlier board as background, not a guide to this one.
Burton's terrain bars put Park and All Mountain at 0–80% and Powder at 0–60%, and its personality bar runs from Happy Medium toward Stiff & Aggressive. That fits women and lighter riders who hit jumps and features, lap groomers in between, and want camber snap underfoot. It is the wrong board for a first season: by our reading, full camber under an upper-half personality bar is a lot of board to learn on. Riders chasing deep snow should look at a directional shape.
Plan on a sizing conversation. Burton's 26/27 chart shows a dash in the rider-weight row at every length, and Burton does not publish a board weight, a numeric flex figure or a 26/27 riding level. Work from waist widths of 237, 240 and 245 mm on the 141, 146 and 152, plus Burton's binding pairing: Women's M or Men's S for the 141, Women's L or Men's M for the longer two. It comes without bindings and mounts through The Channel; bring your boots for sizing, and we mount bindings on boards bought from us.

Is this the Talent Scout riders remember? On shape, Burton's own numbers say yes. At the 149, the 24/25 and 26/27 charts agree on effective edge (1125 mm), running length (1080 mm), waist (242 mm), nose and tail width (282.4 mm) and stance width (530 mm), and the sidecut figures are now printed to more decimals (7.24 m and 20.18 mm, against 7.2 m and 20.2 mm). The core is the open question. The SmoothRide card on this page also sits on Burton's 26/27 Process page, where Burton calls the core construction updated, but Burton does not say whether that update reaches the Talent Scout.
Among the 14 Burton 26/27 boards compared here, only one other carries Women's in its title: the Yeasayer. Burton builds it on PurePop Camber with scooped tips and an extruded base, sets its personality bar between Soft & Playful and Happy Medium, and gives it Park 0-40% against All Mountain 0-100%, at US$529.95. The Talent Scout answers with full camber, a sintered base, a firmer personality bar and Park 0-80%, for US$20 more. By our reading it asks more of the rider at slow speed than PurePop Camber with Scoop does, so riders who value slow-speed ease and whole-mountain range over pop are better served by the Yeasayer.
The Talent Scout has two more neighbors in that set. While it sat out 25/26, one independent reviewer named the Blossom Camber the closest board Burton had left; for 26/27 Burton sets the Blossom further toward Stiff & Aggressive, gives it Park 0-100% and Powder 0-20%, prices it at US$559.95 and starts its run at a 144 with a 240 mm waist. The Good Company Camber is the lower-priced camber twin: sintered base, a softer personality bar, Park 0-100% and US$449.95. On Burton's personality scale, that leaves the Talent Scout between its neighbors: past the Yeasayer and Good Company, short of the Blossom.
Sizing is where the Talent Scout trails its siblings. Among the 14 boards compared here, it alone leaves the rider-weight row unfilled at every length, where the 24/25 page printed weights and a riding level. Burton's Board Size Finder, which asks for boot size and weight, is the route Burton offers instead, and Burton also builds a 138 and a 149 beyond the three lengths listed here (141 to 152). - Is the 26/27 Burton Talent Scout the same board as the 24/25 one?
- In outline, yes: Burton's two charts give the 149 the same edge, waist, nose, tail and stance figures. The core listing differs, since Dualzone EGD was named in 24/25 but not on the 26/27 page, which adds a SmoothRide card, so ride reports from 24/25 and earlier describe a differently listed build. An independent lineup preview also reports the board sat out Burton's 25/26 line.
- Talent Scout or Yeasayer: which women's Burton twin should I pick?
- Choose by how you ride. For days built around jumps and park features, the Talent Scout's camber and 0-80% park bar fit better; for roaming the whole mountain on an easier-going board, the Yeasayer's 0-100% all-mountain bar and softer personality bar do. The Yeasayer also costs US$20 less.
- What size Burton Talent Scout should I ride?
- Burton's 26/27 chart does not give rider-weight figures for this board, so the working numbers are the waists (237 mm on the 141, 240 mm on the 146, 245 mm on the 152) and Burton's binding sizes: Women's M (Men's S) on the 141, Women's L (Men's M) on the 146 and 152. - The Talent Scout mounts through The Channel, which Burton states is compatible with all major bindings. It is sold without bindings, and if the board comes from us, we mount the pair you choose.

- Not as a first board, in our reading. Burton's 26/27 page does not name a riding level (the 24/25 page said Intermediate and Expert), and full camber asks a rider to load it for pop and stay on an edge at slow speed. For a first season, the Women's Yeasayer is the easier start.
- How does the Talent Scout compare with the Burton Blossom?
- Both are camber twins on The Channel; the Blossom sits closer to the Stiff & Aggressive end of Burton's scale.
