Ability Level
The Anima is Black Crows' wide big-mountain freeride ski — 115mm underfoot, built to float deep snow, charge fast, and still pivot and pop with a freestyle streak. A poplar and fiberglass core with carbon-Kevlar reinforcement (no titanal) keeps it stable at speed without the weight of metal, and the rocker-camber-rocker profile with a wide platform gives it serious float plus easy turn initiation and the ability to ski switch.
It's for an advanced freeride skier who wants a wide ski for powder days, big lines, and airs — someone who mixes charging with freestyle. At 115mm it's a soft-snow / big-mountain ski, not a daily driver: it's far more ski than you need for groomers (go much narrower), and it's not a beginner ski. For firmer all-mountain days, look at the narrower Corvus or Serpo.
