The Bataleon Feelbetter is a soft, forgiving directional-twin snowboard aimed at newer riders working from first turns toward confident intermediate laps. Bataleon rates the flex a soft 3 out of 10 and builds it as a progression deck. The outline is a symmetrical twin and the stance sits dead center, which is why riding and landing switch feel identical in both directions. Its lone directional cue is a nose that runs a hair longer than the tail; there is no setback and no width taper, so treat it as a centered twin, not a powder-specific shape.
That forgiveness comes straight from the base shape Bataleon calls 3BT. A camber zone runs down the middle beneath your feet for grip and pop, and from there the two outer edges rise gradually clear of the snow toward each contact point. Edges that sit off the surface are hard to hook, so the board turns in willingly and shrugs off a flat or crooked landing. SideKick adds extra rise right past the wide points of tip and tail, rounding them into hull-shaped ends that plane in fresh snow and flip quickly from one edge to the other.

The Feelbetter is Bataleon's softest progression twin, aimed at the rider who is still learning to link turns and ride switch rather than the one hunting speed. Bataleon prints the flex at 3 out of 10 - genuinely soft - and calls it a board for ambitious riders building their all-mountain skills. Bataleon labels the shape a Directional Twin, and it helps to be precise about what that means here: the twin half is a symmetrical sidecut on a centered stance, so switch feels natural; the directional half is nothing more than a nose cut a little longer than the tail. The inserts are centered and Bataleon publishes no setback, so this is not a directional powder deck, whatever the name suggests.
The forgiveness comes from how the base is shaped. Bataleon builds a positive-camber center zone under the bindings for pop and edge grip, then lifts the two side edges of the nose and tail up away from the snow - that raised sidebase is the 3BT idea, and it is why the board is slow to catch and quick to start a turn.
