Description

The Anon Tracker 2.0 Goggles (Kids') are a youth goggle sold on their own, without a face mask: a Winter 2024 style with an Ice Cream frame and an Amber lens (55% VLT, S1). Anon builds it on a youth-specific frame for small and medium faces, and says it works with a helmet and with glasses.

In Anon's goggle size guide, the Tracker frame measures 87 mm tall by 149 mm wide, in its SM/YTH (small/youth) class, with 156° of horizontal and 85.6° of vertical field of view. The frame is thermoplastic polyurethane, which Anon calls durable and lightweight and says stays flexible in cold weather. Against the face sits dual-layer foam, one layer of foam and one of moisture-wicking fleece, for a snug seal.

The lens is cylindrical and precurved, so it wraps to the shape of a child's face, and notches and tabs hold it in the frame. Anon treats it with its Integral Clarity anti-fog and surrounds it with a full-perimeter vent channel meant to pull fresh air in and push hot air and moisture out. Anon states that all of its lenses offer 100% UV protection. Amber is an S1 tint, the lightly tinted category Anon's lens guide assigns to overcast days and fog.

The frame is over-the-glasses compatible, designed to fit prescription eyewear underneath. It is also MFI compatible: four magnetic connection points let an Anon MFI face mask, hood or neck warmer seal to the goggle. No mask comes with this version. The only included item Anon lists is a microfiber goggle bag; Anon makes a separate Tracker 2.0 style with the mask in the box.

Ours is the Regular fit, which Anon lists as its Standard goggle fit; Anon also made a separate Low Bridge Fit version for lower nose bridges. Bring your child's helmet and glasses, and we'll check the goggle against both with you, including the gap at the forehead.

Anon Tracker 2.0 Kids' Goggles

Tracker family · Winter 2024

Anon logo

Technology

Cylindrical Precurved Lens

The Tracker 2.0 lens is cylindrical and precurved to wrap to the shape of the face; Anon says the lens and the flexible frame follow the face's natural curve.

Integral Clarity Anti-Fog

Anon's anti-fog treatment on the Tracker 2.0 lens. Anon's care advice: never touch the inner lens, and let a fogged lens air-dry.

MFI® (Magnetic Face Mask Integration)

Anon uses four magnetic connection points to connect its MFI masks, hoods and neck warmers to the goggle. The Tracker 2.0 takes the Standard carrier; with this goggle-only style, the mask is sold separately.

Traditional Lens System

The Tracker 2.0 lens is held by notches and tabs in the frame rather than magnets.

Features

  • ·Youth-specific frame for small and medium faces
  • ·Flexible TPU frame
  • ·Cylindrical precurved lens
  • ·MFI face mask compatible, mask sold separately
  • ·Over-the-glasses compatible
  • ·Dual-layer foam with moisture-wicking fleece
  • ·Full-perimeter vent channel
  • ·Microfiber goggle bag included

The Anon Tracker 2.0 Kids' goggle suits a child whose face is too small for adult goggles and who skis mostly in gray, flat light. Anon's size guide puts the Tracker frame in its SM/YTH class at 87 × 149 mm. The next size up in that guide is Anon's SM/MED class, starting with the M6S at 92 × 162 mm, the narrowest of those frames. This is the goggle-only Tracker 2.0 from Winter 2024, with one Amber lens and a goggle bag.

The lens is the decision that matters on the Tracker 2.0 Kids'. Amber at 55% VLT is an S1 tint, which Anon's lens guide describes as lightly tinted for dull overcast and foggy days. Anon puts its medium S2 tints at 18% to 43% VLT and calls them the option for most conditions, with darker S3 tints for bright sun. Anon lists no spare lens with this goggle, so a child who skis a lot of bluebird days is on a lighter tint than Anon's guide suggests for that light. Anon sells Tracker 2.0 replacement lenses in Amber, Clear (85%, S0) and Silver Amber (23%, S2); Silver Amber is the darkest of the three, and none is an S3.

With this goggle-only version, a face mask is an add-on. The goggle is MFI compatible, Anon's carrier guide puts the Tracker 2.0 on the Standard carrier, and Anon says every MFI mask comes with all three of its carriers, the Standard one included. If you want the mask from the first day, the Tracker 2.0 + MFI Face Mask is the version that includes it.

Lens changes on the goggle-only Tracker 2.0 use notches and tabs instead of magnets, and Anon's product page gives no weight and no strap details. Anon calls the goggle helmet compatible but names no specific helmets, so check it against your child's own helmet before the first ski day.

A goggle protects the eyes; it is not head protection.

Strengths

  • +Youth SM/YTH frame, 87 × 149 mm per Anon's size guide
  • +Over-the-glasses frame takes prescription eyewear underneath, per Anon
  • +MFI compatible on Anon's Standard carrier
  • +TPU frame that Anon says stays flexible in the cold
  • +Dual-layer foam with a moisture-wicking fleece layer

Best For

Kids with small or medium faces, including kids who wear glasses, who ski mostly in overcast or flat light and either already own an Anon MFI mask or don't ride in one.

Limitations

  • −No MFI face mask in the box
  • −Single Amber S1 lens; Anon lists no spare lens
  • −Darkest Tracker 2.0 replacement lens is S2, not S3
  • −Notch-and-tab lens mount, not magnetic
  • −Anon's product page lists no weight for this style

Not For

Families who want a face mask in the box, since the Tracker 2.0 + MFI Face Mask is the version that includes one; kids who ski mostly in bright sun on this Amber S1 lens; kids who have outgrown a youth frame, for whom Anon's SM/MED goggles such as the M5S or M6S are the next size; and anyone who wants magnetic lens changes or a spare lens in the box.

Common Questions

Does the Anon Tracker 2.0 Kids' goggle come with an MFI face mask?
No. This goggle-only style lists a microfiber goggle bag as its included item. It is MFI compatible, so an Anon MFI mask bought separately attaches magnetically; the Tracker 2.0 + MFI Face Mask is the version sold with the mask.
What size is the Anon Tracker 2.0 Kids' goggle?
Anon's size guide lists the Tracker frame at 149 mm wide and 87 mm tall, in its SM/YTH class, and Anon fits it to small and medium faces. A child who outgrows it moves to Anon's SM/MED frames, starting with the M6S at 162 mm wide.
Is the Amber lens on the Tracker 2.0 good for sunny days?
Amber is 55% VLT, an S1 tint, which Anon recommends for dull overcast and foggy days. For bright sun Anon's guide points to darker tints; the Tracker 2.0 replacement lenses Anon sells are Amber, Clear (85%, S0) and Silver Amber (23%, S2).
Can kids wear glasses under the Anon Tracker 2.0?
Yes, per Anon: the frame is designed to take prescription eyewear underneath. Glasses vary in size, so bring your child's pair and try the two together before you buy.
Will the Anon Tracker 2.0 fit my child's helmet?
Anon calls the Tracker 2.0 helmet compatible but names no specific helmets for this style, and its own guide warns that not every goggle fits every helmet. Bring the helmet in and we'll check for a gap between the goggle top and the brim.
Is this the current Anon Tracker 2.0?
This is the Winter 2024 goggle-only Tracker 2.0, style 2225513. Anon's own store now lists the Tracker 2.0 with an MFI face mask included.
