Description

The Anon Nesa is Anon's semi-frameless goggle: a cylindrical Perceive lens that appears to run edge to edge, on a frame Anon's size guide lists at 95 mm tall and 169 mm wide. The same guide gives it 182° of horizontal and 99.3° of vertical field of view.

The lens mounts the traditional way, with notches and tabs rather than magnets. Perceive tints are Anon's contrast lenses, coated outside against water and smudges and treated inside with Anon's Integral Clarity anti-fog. Behind them sits triple-layer face foam, two layers of foam plus a layer of moisture-wicking fleece, with a vent channel around the whole frame and a no-slip silicone strap. Anon rates the Nesa over-the-glasses compatible, and its MFI magnets connect Anon's compatible face masks and hoods.

Two Perceive lenses ship in the box, with an MFI face mask and a microfiber goggle bag; which spare you get depends on the colorway.

Anon fits the Nesa to medium and large faces, so small faces sit outside it, and pairs it with its Medium and Large helmets. Choose Regular or Low Bridge; Low Bridge adds nose-pocket foam for lower nose bridges. Bring your helmet and we'll check the fit and the forehead gap with you.

Technology

Semi-Frameless Cylindrical Lens

Anon's semi-frameless construction lets the lens appear to extend edge to edge, which Anon calls both an aesthetic and a functional choice for field of view. Anon's cylindrical lenses curve on the horizontal axis only.

Traditional Lens System

Anon secures the Nesa lens with notches and tabs in the frame rather than magnets, the conventional way of mounting a goggle lens.

Perceive Lens

Anon's contrast tints, using color absorbers that filter two light spectrums against flat light, with a hydrophobic and oleophobic exterior.

Integral Clarity Technology

Anon's anti-fog treatment on a nano-etched inner surface of Perceive lenses; Anon says to leave the inner lens alone and air-dry it if it fogs.

MFI® (Magnetic Face Mask Integration)

Magnets on the goggle connect compatible Anon hoods and face masks without blocking the vents, per Anon. The Nesa uses the XL carrier.

Features

  • ·Semi-frameless cylindrical Perceive lens
  • ·Traditional notch-and-tab lens mount
  • ·Triple-layer face foam with moisture-wicking fleece
  • ·MFI magnetic face mask integration, mask included
  • ·Over-the-glasses compatible
  • ·Full-perimeter venting
  • ·No-slip silicone strap
  • ·Regular or Low Bridge fit

The Anon Nesa is the view pick in Anon's line for riders who don't need magnets. In Anon's size guide only the cylindrical M4 out-views it horizontally and no goggle beats its vertical figure, all from a frame smaller than the M4's 103 × 184 mm.

The Nesa's trade is the lens change: it has none of the magnetic guidance of the Sync's M-Fusion or the Magna-Tech on the M4, M5 and M6 families, so in our reading it suits a rider who picks a lens for the day. If you swap on the chairlift, one of the magnetic goggles is the better tool.

For flat light, check the spare lens, not just the main tint. Smoke and White pair Sunny Onyx (6%, S4) with a Cloudy Burst spare (59%, S1), covering bright sun and flat light; the other two Sunny Onyx colorways pair it with Variable Violet (34%, S2); Black pairs Sunny Red (14%, S3) with Cloudy Burst.

Anon doesn't publish a weight or the frame material.

Strengths

  • +182° / 99.3° view from a mid-size MED/LRG frame
  • +Tallest vertical view in Anon's size guide: 99.3°
  • +Two Perceive lenses and an MFI face mask included
  • +Smoke and White colorways include an S1 Cloudy Burst spare
  • +Triple-layer foam with a moisture-wicking fleece layer

Best For

Medium-to-large faces on Anon Medium or Large helmets that want the most view in Anon's size guide outside the M4 and are happy to set one lens each morning.

Limitations

  • Notch-and-tab lens mount; no magnetic quick change
  • No X-Large pairing on Anon's helmet chart
  • Weight and frame material aren't published by Anon

Not For

Riders who change lenses on the chairlift, who should look at the magnetic Sync or Anon's Magna-Tech goggles; riders on X-Large helmets who want Anon's chart to confirm the pairing, since the chart ticks the Nesa for Medium and Large only; and small faces, which fall outside Anon's medium-and-large fit line for the Nesa.

Common Questions

Does the Anon Nesa have magnetic lenses?
No. The Nesa uses Anon's traditional lens system, which secures the lens with notches and tabs; its magnets are for the MFI face mask. For magnetic lens changes, look at the Sync, which uses M-Fusion, or at an M4, M5 or M6, which use Magna-Tech.
How much field of view does the Anon Nesa have?
Anon's size guide puts the Nesa at 99.3° vertical and 182° horizontal. Nothing else in the guide lists more vertical view, and only the cylindrical M4 (188°) beats its horizontal figure.
Which Anon Nesa colorway is best for flat light?
Pick a colorway whose spare is Cloudy Burst, Anon's 59% S1 tint for cloudy days: Smoke or White with Sunny Onyx, or Black with Sunny Red. The Airstream Blue and LB Encounters colorways ship a Variable Violet (34%, S2) spare.
What does Low Bridge mean on the Anon Nesa?
It is Anon's version for lower nose bridges, with extra face foam in the nose pocket that Anon says closes the gap and improves the seal there. Regular Bridge is the standard fit.
