PTO Review
We know them. Here's how they stack up.
These snowboards span 2 categories (All-Mountain, Park). Scores reflect each snowboard's intended use — direct comparison across all dimensions may be misleading.
Alternator x Hailey — advanced-to-expert women who want one directional board for the whole mountain — that carves groomers hard, floats the nose in fresh snow, and still rides switch.. Disaster — park rats focused on jibs, rails, boxes, and presses.. Check the radar chart below to see where each one wins.
Each row compares all boards on one dimension. 🏆 marks the highest score.
| Dimension | Alternator x Hailey | Disaster |
|---|---|---|
| Carving | 8🏆 | 3 |
| Park | 4 | 10🏆 |
| Playfulness | 6 | 7🏆 |
| Forgiveness | 7 | 8🏆 |
| Stability | 8🏆 | 3 |
| Powder | 7🏆 | 2 |
Advanced-to-expert women who want one directional board for the whole mountain — that carves groomers hard, floats the nose in fresh snow, and still rides switch.
Beginners and cautious intermediates: full camber at a 7/10 flex punishes a lazy, backseat stance. Park-first riders who want a soft true-twin for jibbing, presses and switch laps — this is a directional charger with a Park 6 rating and a 15mm setback, not a playful twin.
Park rats focused on jibs, rails, boxes, and presses. Riders progressing into park for the first time. Street-style riders. Anyone who wants a dedicated soft-flex park tool.
All-mountain riders who need one board for everything. Speed seekers. Powder riders. Advanced riders who need pop for big kickers — the Disaster is built for small-to-medium features, not boosting 40-footers.
Alternator x Hailey is best for advanced-to-expert women who want one directional board for the whole mountain — that carves groomers hard, floats the nose in fresh snow, and still rides switch. Disaster is best for park rats focused on jibs, rails, boxes, and presses. The right choice depends on your terrain, ability, and riding style.
Nitro Alternator x Hailey has the highest Stability score in this comparison at 8/10. That score compares composure; it does not by itself mean the product is the most versatile choice.
Nitro Alternator x Hailey leads Carving in this comparison with a PTO score of 8/10.
Bataleon Disaster has the highest Forgiveness score here at 8/10. Forgiveness is one factor in progression, not a claim that every beginner should choose it.
