The Salomon Dialogue Dual BOA is a medium-flex all-mountain boot rated a 6 out of 10 on the flex scale — stiff enough to hold an edge on firm snow, forgiving enough that your legs aren't fighting the boot all day in the park or on side hits. The closure uses two independent BOA dials over two separate lace zones: the lower dial cinches the forefoot, while the upper dial tunes cuff tension and flex feel — and that upper/ankle zone is what engages the Precision Harness 3.0, an internal heel harness laced into the liner that wraps your instep and shuts down heel lift. You can dial each zone separately at the lift line without taking off a glove. The Response Liner is fully heat-moldable — we'll throw it in the oven here at the shop, and within a session or two it conforms to the shape of your foot in a way a cold break-in never quite matches. The Ortholite C2 footbed adds a second layer of moldability underfoot, and the FTR shell construction runs true half-size increments so you're not swimming in a shell that's a size too big just to fit the liner.

This boot suits intermediate through advanced riders who spend time everywhere on the mountain — groomers, park laps, slush days — and want a single boot that handles all of it without punishing them for it. If you ride hard and fast most of the day and need something stiffer for powerful, locked-in carving, a flex 7 or 8 boot will serve you better; the Dialogue at a 6 can feel soft and washy underfoot if you're driving a stiff board at speed. Riders with a noticeably wide forefoot should look at the Dialogue Dual BOA Wide instead — the standard last runs on the narrower side of medium, and forcing a wide foot into it defeats everything the Precision Harness is trying to do. Come in and get measured; flex rating and last width have to match your foot and your riding style, and that's not something you can sort out from a size chart.
