If you've been skiing with separate goggles and a helmet and dealing with gap, fog, and the daily swap, this helmet is worth a look. The Revent GT AMID Visor HD integrates a flip-up HD visor directly into the shell — it raises and lowers with one hand, seals against your face with dual-layer foam, and the hydrophobic-coated lens cuts glare and holds contrast in flat light without swapping lenses. Construction is hybrid: ABS hardshell on top for impact resistance, in-mold lower to keep the weight down. Atomic's AMID system handles rotational impact protection — it's their own technology (not MIPS), using a dual-density foam at the core that's free to shift in any direction, positioned between the shell and your head to redirect energy from angled impacts. The 360° Fit System dials in head size and height, the Merino 3M X-Static lining manages moisture and odor, and the Active Aircon vents are manually adjustable so you're not stuck with one airflow setting all day. Certified CE EN 1077:2007 Class B, ASTM F2040, and ISO 18527-1:2022. Sizes S (51–55 cm), M (55–59 cm), L (59–63 cm).
Who should skip it: if you prefer full goggle optics — a wide cylindrical or toric lens, interchangeable lens system, or specific goggle brand — an integrated visor is a different use case and won't satisfy that. The visor works well in standard conditions but dedicated goggles still give you more lens options. This helmet is also not designed for ski racing, touring, or backcountry — it's a resort all-mountain helmet for adults.
