Hestra Gauntlet CZone Jr

Hestra specifies the Micron polyester backhand as windproof, waterproof and breathable. There's a PU grip in the palm. Inside are the CZone insert, the Fiberfill and foam, and a brushed polyester lining. The spec doesn't mark the lining as removable.

The snow lock is an inner cuff that closes around the wrist, so snow has a harder time working its way in. A wrist strap with a Velcro closure snugs the fit. Handcuffs, Hestra's term for wrist leashes, are part of the spec, so the glove stays attached when your kid pulls it off. Hestra also lists Wolf Paw construction. And the whole glove goes in the washing machine.

Warmth comes from Fiberfill and foam, with a brushed polyester lining. Five separate fingers give a kid more freedom to grip and handle zippers than a mitt does. The trade is that each finger stays warm on its own, while in a mitt the fingers share warmth. The CZone insert is the waterproof layer, and the snow lock closes the gap at the wrist.

Junior sizes are numbers too, and this glove comes in 3 through 7. Every colorway covers the full run: Dark Navy/Sky Blue, Grey/Blk, Parfait/Black and Fuchsia/Ivory.

Pick it for a kid who likes to use their fingers and needs snow kept out at the wrist. Two siblings share a polyester backhand with a CZone insert, plus the PU grip in the palm, Fiberfill and foam, snow lock and handcuffs.

The Gauntlet CZone Jr Mitt puts all four fingers together so they share warmth, which suits kids who get cold hands. The Gauntlet CZone Jr 3-finger frees the index finger, groups the other three, and has a five-finger lining inside.
