1 / 2Hestra Army Leather Wool Terry Mitt

Description
The Hestra Army Leather Wool Terry Mitt is a leather ski mitt with a removable wool lining, for skiers who want wool against the hand and the warmth of a mitt. Hestra's spec gives the outer as impregnated cowhide. Inside, wool terry lines the palm and wool pile lines the back of the hand.
Hestra calls cowhide "a durable leather with good impregnation properties" and says it is "widely used for many of our ski gloves."
The lining is the point of this mitt. It is removable, with wool terry on the inside of the palm and wool pile on the back of the hand. That puts wool terry against the palm side of your hand and wool pile against the back of it.
The cuff is neoprene, with a puller at the cuff. Elastic at the wrist keeps the fit snug. Handcuffs (wrist leashes) keep the mitt attached to your wrist when your hand is out of it.
A mitt keeps four fingers in one compartment so they warm each other, and here that compartment is lined in wool. The thumb gets a compartment of its own. The trade, as with any mitt, is finger movement: the four fingers move together rather than one at a time.
On the weather side, Hestra says cowhide "resists moisture and abrasion well."
Hestra glove sizes are numeric. Grey and Cork both run 6 through 11.
Pick it if you want wool against your hand inside a leather mitt. Hestra lists it in Alpine Pro, a collection it aims at people who "ski a lot in varied terrain and weather," with gloves it says "stand up to heavy wear and tear."
For separate fingers, the five-finger Army Leather Wool Terry gives each finger its own sleeve. In this mitt, four fingers share one compartment instead.
