Hestra Army Leather Heli Ski Jr

Army goat leather covers the palm. Hestra describes Army Leather as a specially treated goat leather, originally used for military gloves, that "withstands tough, outdoor conditions." On the back of the hand is HESTRA Triton recycled polyamide. Eagle Grip construction is on Hestra's feature list too.

The Bemberg polyester lining is removable, and a replacement liner has its own style number (34050). Handcuffs are wrist leashes, so a glove that comes off stays on the wrist. There is a snow lock, an inner cuff that closes around the wrist, plus a wrist strap with a Velcro closure to snug the fit.

G-Loft insulation and the lining provide the warmth. Each of the five fingers sits in its own sleeve, so each one can bend on its own. The flip side is that separate fingers don't share heat the way fingers in one compartment do. That is the trade with any five-finger glove.

By Hestra's spec, the Triton backhand is windproof and breathable. Hestra says Army Leather's structural properties provide "effective protection against moisture."

Hestra junior sizes are numbered. This glove is offered in sizes 3 through 7, and every color comes in all five sizes.

Kids who want the finger movement of a five-finger glove, with an Army goat leather palm. It belongs to Hestra's Junior collection, which Hestra describes as gloves and mittens "for all ages, from infants to young teenagers."

If your child's hands get cold, the Army Leather Heli Ski Jr Mitt puts four fingers in one compartment so they share warmth. The Army Leather Heli Ski Jr 3-finger is the middle ground, with the index finger in its own compartment and the other three together.
