Description
The Blackops W 92 is a women's freeride ski built light and playful — a low-90s waist on a paulownia wood core, so it's quick to throw around in trees, soft chop, and the occasional park lap. Full sidewall construction gives it more bite on edge than a cap ski, while the progressive rocker keeps the tips loose and floaty off-piste. There's no metal in the build, so it stays nimble rather than damp and planted.
It's best for an intermediate or better woman who skis the whole mountain and likes a forgiving, freestyle-leaning ride — it's playful, but it's not a first-timer's learning ski. The size run starts short (136cm), so it also fits petite skiers and younger/teen riders, not just adults. It's not a hard-charging carver for firm groomers at speed; it's a do-a-bit-of-everything ski that's happiest when the snow is soft.

The take

The BlackOps W 92 takes the BlackOps attitude and puts it in a women's-specific package. Same paulownia core, same full sidewall construction, same progressive rocker profile as the unisex BlackOps 92 -- but in shorter lengths (146-166) and slightly lighter build. This isn't a softened-down version of a men's ski. It's the same ski, just sized for smaller frames.
The progressive sidecut gives it more freestyle DNA than the Rallybird 92. Where the Rallybird wants to be easy and predictable, the BlackOps W 92 wants to play. It drifts, smears, and pops with more energy. The rocker profile is more aggressive too -- more tip and tail rise means it handles messy snow and variable conditions better.
On groomers, it carves respectably but doesn't lock in like a dedicated frontside ski. That's the trade-off for the off-piste versatility. In soft snow, the 92mm waist combined with the progressive rocker gives decent float without feeling like a powder board.
The big differentiator from the Rallybird: this ski rewards a more active, aggressive style. If you're the type who hits side features, ducks into trees, and likes to ski with some attitude, the BlackOps W 92 is the better pick. If you want mellow and forgiving, stick with the Rallybird.
