Description

Atomic's Revent Lite+ Round Fit is an adult all-mountain ski helmet without a visor, built on a shell Atomic designs for round head and face shapes. It is certified to ASTM F2040 and the European EN 1077:2007 Class B standard, uses Atomic's Holo Core crumple zone with no Mips listed, and comes in four sizes covering 51 to 65 cm head circumference (51–55, 55–59, 59–63 and 63–65 cm).

The shape is the reason this version exists. Circumference picks the size, but it says nothing about whether a head is long and narrow or closer to round, and it is the shell's shape that decides whether the helmet sits evenly all the way round. Atomic gives no figure for how round the shell is, so a try-on settles it.

Holo Core is an extended crumple zone that Atomic says absorbs up to 30% more impact than a standard helmet; the figure is Atomic's own, with no test named. Beneath it sits the In-Mold Dual Shell: EPS foam in upper and lower parts, molded into a polycarbonate shell. The height-adjustable 360° Fit System draws the helmet in, you set the Active Aircon vents by hand, and the removable, washable liner carries Merino 3M X-Static lining. Atomic lists 400 g for size S, and a helmet bag comes with it.

Black runs all four sizes; White Heather stops at 59–63 cm. Skip this helmet if your head is oval: the standard Revent Lite+ is the shape to try. Skip it too if you want AMID, which Atomic puts on the Revent AMID, or a visor built in, which Atomic puts on its Revent GT AMID Visor HD.

At PTO we measure your head and fit the helmet with your own goggle on, so size, shape and the brim-to-frame gap are settled before it goes home.

Technology

Round Fit

Atomic’s shell shape for round head and facial shapes. Atomic does not publish a measurement for how round it is.

Holo Core

An extended crumple zone that Atomic says gives up to 30% higher shock absorption than industry standards. It is the only safety technology on the helmet’s datasheet.

In-Mold Dual Shell

Atomic’s in-mold build: the EPS foam comes in an upper and a lower part, molded into one PC outer shell.

360° Fit System

A height-adjustable system that fine-tunes the helmet to head size and shape.

Active Aircon Venting

Air channels and vents that you adjust by hand to fine-tune airflow.

Merino 3M X-Static Lining

Merino wool lining that Atomic describes as anti-microbial and anti-odor, regulating body temperature.

Features

  • ·Round shell for round head and facial shapes
  • ·No visor: worn with a separate goggle
  • ·Removable, washable liner
  • ·Helmet bag included

The Atomic Revent Lite+ Round Fit is for one kind of skier: the one whose head is closer to round than oval. Atomic engineers this version for round head and facial shapes and otherwise keeps it a plain, certified all-mountain helmet with no visor, made to be worn with your own goggle. If standard helmets have always pressed on your temples, this is the Revent to try first. If they never have, there is no reason to pick it over the standard Revent Lite+.

Judge the Revent Lite+ Round Fit’s protection by its certifications first: CE EN 1077:2007 Class B and ASTM F2040. Holo Core, Atomic’s extended crumple zone, is the only safety technology on its datasheet, and Atomic puts its shock absorption up to 30% above industry standards without naming a test. Count that figure as Atomic’s claim, not a rating. Atomic lists no AMID and no Mips for this helmet.

The Revent AMID is the sibling to weigh it against. It adds Atomic’s AMID impact system, Live Fit and a magnetic Fidlock buckle, and Atomic lists it at 450 g in size S against 400 g for the Round Fit. Atomic’s Revent AMID page makes no round-fit statement. If AMID matters more to you than shell shape, the Revent AMID is the one to try on; if shape is why you are looking, the Round Fit is. Next to the plain Revent Lite, which Atomic lists at 380 g (S) with non-adjustable Aircon Venting, the Round Fit’s vents open and close by hand.

Want the goggle gone altogether? The Revent GT AMID Visor HD carries a goggle-style visor on the GT shell, at 600 g in size S.

Sizing the Revent Lite+ Round Fit starts with head circumference, measured across the middle of the forehead, above the ears and over the bump at the back of the head. The four sizes share their end points at 55, 59 and 63 cm, and Atomic gives no rule for a head right on one; our call is the size that the 360° Fit System can draw in firmly with no hot spots. The 63–65 cm XL comes in Black only. Bring your goggle to the fitting: Atomic says nothing about goggle fit for this helmet, so we check the gap between brim and frame with yours on.

Common Questions

Atomic Revent Lite+ Round Fit vs Revent Lite+: what is the difference?
The Atomic Revent Lite+ Round Fit is the version Atomic engineers for round head and facial shapes, sold alongside the standard Revent Lite+. Atomic does not publish how much rounder the Round Fit shell is. If standard helmets press on your temples, try the Round Fit; if they never have, start with the standard shape.
What size Atomic Revent Lite+ Round Fit should I get?
The Atomic Revent Lite+ Round Fit comes in S 51–55, M 55–59, L 59–63 and XL 63–65 cm head circumference, with XL in Black only. Measure around the middle of your forehead and the back of your head. On a shared end point, pick the size the 360° Fit System closes snugly without pressure points.
What certifications does the Atomic Revent Lite+ Round Fit have?
The Atomic Revent Lite+ Round Fit is certified to CE EN 1077:2007 Class B and ASTM F2040, the two helmet standards Atomic lists for it. Holo Core is Atomic’s own crumple-zone technology on top of those, not a certification. Atomic lists no Mips and no AMID for this helmet.
Atomic Revent Lite+ Round Fit vs Revent AMID: which should I get?
The Atomic Revent Lite+ Round Fit is shaped for round heads and weighs 400 g in size S by Atomic’s figures. The Revent AMID adds AMID, Live Fit and a magnetic Fidlock buckle at 450 g (S), and its page makes no round-fit statement. Choose by which shell sits evenly on your head, then by whether AMID matters to you.
Is the Atomic Revent Lite+ Round Fit good for beginners?
The Atomic Revent Lite+ Round Fit suits adult beginners as well as experienced skiers, because a helmet is chosen by fit rather than ability. What decides it is head shape, head size and the goggle you wear. A first fitting in the shop settles all three.
