Atomic Cloud Q14 Revoshock S + MI 12 GW Women's Skis 26/27

Atomic's sharpest women's Cloud Q carver, the Cloud Q14 Revoshock S, builds a fully cambered 75 mm ski around an internal Titanal laminate and the sportier Revoshock S damping, and sells it as a system with its MI 12 GW binding. It is not an all-new ski for 26/27: the platform has run several seasons, and the only confirmed changes this year are the binding, art number and Black/Sage graphic. The specs are the current Atomic workbook; the ride-feel read comes from independent tests of the same build.

On hard snow the Cloud Q14 does one thing very well: it grips. Independent testers rated edge hold and carving highly, clamping onto hardpack and ice - full camber lays the whole edge down, and the Titanal adds torsional rigidity under the bite. Revoshock S, spring-steel modules in elastomer, damps chatter and keeps it quiet at speed; reviewers found it calm in chop. Atomic frames the damping as rebounding energy to accelerate out of the turn; independent testers read it as lively and powerful, but not dominant.

The limits are just as clear. This is a dedicated groomer platform: independent float marks land low, so at 75 mm on full camber there is little to float on off the groomers. It wants to be on edge - one European test found it nervous run flat - and at longer lengths it prefers medium-radius arcs to very tight ones. Reviews disagree on how demanding it is: one crew called it forgiving and easy to turn, another a serious carving ski, not one for a timid skier. The light woodcore keeps it more accessible than a Redster race ski, but it still wants edge input, not a passive, flat ride - so pin down the skier's aggression before sizing.

Inside Atomic's range, the Cloud Q14 is beaten at specific jobs by its siblings. For easier all-day skiing and better manners in softer snow, the 83 mm Cloud Q12 Revoshock C runs a lower damping tier and a DIN 3-10 binding - more forgiving, less firm-snow bite. For outright race-carve power, the women's Redster Q line is the step up in aggression, traded against comfort. For real float, a wider ski is the answer; this one specializes on piste.

Sizing follows the radius. PTO stocks 145, 152, 159, 166 cm, and because the waist holds at 75 mm the arc grows with length - from 11 m to 13.4 m - shorter for quicker turns, longer for stability. The MI 12 GW binding is included and mounted as a unit; its DIN 4-12 band matches the target skier weight of 58-140 kg, and it accepts adult alpine and adult GripWalk boot soles. One weight is official: 2755 g per ski with the binding, at Atomic's 160 cm reference - a length this ski is not sold in, a ballpark, not a per-size spec.
