The take
“SKI Magazine's #1 frontside ski for 2026. That's not marketing -- that's 30 testers at Big Sky agreeing.”
The Arcade 88 is the real deal. SKI Magazine named it the best frontside ski of 2026, and from a construction standpoint, it's easy to see why. Full titanal layer tip-to-tail. LCT vertical power rail through the core. Extended sidecut. Full sidewall. At 88mm underfoot with a 15m radius, it carves like a ski 10mm narrower while handling mixed snow like a ski 10mm wider.
The full titanal layer is the key difference between this and the Arcade 84. Where the 84 uses a Titanal Beam (a strip underfoot), the 88 gets metal across the entire width. That means more damping, more edge hold, and more high-speed composure. At speed, this ski is quiet. It doesn't chatter on hardpack, doesn't deflect in chop, and doesn't lose its line in crud.
The LCT power rail eliminates counter-flex -- the unwanted bowing that happens when you're pressuring the ski hard. The result is consistent snow contact through the entire turn, which translates to predictable carving performance whether you're making GS arcs on a wide open groomer or linking short turns through a crowded trail.
Off-piste, the 88mm waist and tip-and-tail rocker give it enough versatility to handle the surprise soft snow without panicking. It's not a powder ski and doesn't pretend to be, but it won't leave you stranded when conditions change.
This is a ski built for experts and strong intermediates who like to carve with authority. The full metal construction demands decent technique -- you need to drive it, not just ride it. But if you can give it input, it pays back with one of the most satisfying carving experiences in this price range.
