Description

The Anon M4S (Cylindrical) is the scaled version of Anon's M4: a Magna-Tech magnetic goggle with a cylindrical Perceive lens and full-perimeter dual-density construction, in a frame Anon's size guide measures at 98 mm tall and 177 mm wide. With the cylindrical lens, Anon lists 179° of horizontal and 92° of vertical field of view.

Rare-earth N52 magnets hold the lens, and Anon says the self-aligning magnets make a lens change possible in gloves or mittens. Perceive tints are Anon's contrast lenses, coated outside to repel water and smudges, and the inner lens carries Anon's Integral Clarity anti-fog treatment. The PC-ABS/TPU frame is stiff at the edge where the lens seats and soft against the face, with ramped, moisture-wicking foam and a vent channel around the whole perimeter. Anon rates it over-the-glasses compatible, and it takes Anon's MFI face masks, which lock to the goggle with magnets.

A second Perceive lens ships with the M4S. Spare tints vary by colorway; a Variable Blue main lens (21%, S2), for example, comes with a Cloudy Pink spare (53%, S1).

Anon's own sources size the M4S three ways: medium faces in its feature list, small to medium faces in its tagline, and the MED/LRG class in its size guide. Because the three differ, we don't read a face-size limit into any one of them. Anon's helmet chart ticks the M4S for its Medium and Large helmets. Choose Regular or Low Bridge; the Low Bridge frame carries extra nose-pocket foam for lower nose bridges. Bring the helmet you ride in and we'll check the fit and the forehead gap with you.

Anon M4S (Cylindrical)

M4 family · 26/27

Anon logo

Technology

Magna-Tech®

Anon's magnetic lens mount. Rare-earth N52 magnets pull the lens into place and hold it; Anon describes the result as a secure lens-to-frame seal and a swap you can make wearing gloves.

Perceive Lens

Anon's contrast-tuned tints. Proprietary color absorbers filter light in two spectrums, in Anon's words to alleviate flat light, and the exterior carries a hydrophobic and oleophobic coating.

Integral Clarity Technology

Anon's anti-fog treatment. Perceive inner lenses are nano-etched so the coating adheres and lasts; Anon says not to touch or wipe the inner surface and to air-dry a fogged lens instead.

MFI® (Magnetic Face Mask Integration)

Magnetic connection between an Anon MFI mask and the goggle. Anon's carrier guide assigns this goggle the XL carrier, and every Anon MFI mask ships with all three sizes.

Features

  • ·Cylindrical Perceive lens on a scaled M4 frame
  • ·Magna-Tech lens change with rare-earth N52 magnets
  • ·Full Perimeter dual-density PC-ABS/TPU frame
  • ·MFI® face mask compatible (XL carrier)
  • ·Over-the-glasses compatible
  • ·Full-perimeter venting; ramped, moisture-wicking face foam
  • ·No-slip silicone strap
  • ·Regular or Low Bridge fit

The Anon M4S (Cylindrical) makes sense for a face the full-size M4 swamps. The part worth paying for survives the shrink: Magna-Tech swaps on N52 magnets and a second Perceive lens. The cost is a little view, since Anon lists 179° horizontal and 92° vertical here against the M4's 188° and 96°.

The M4S sits in the middle of Anon's sizing, not at the small end. Anon's size guide files it as MED/LRG, and the helmet chart ticks it for Medium and Large but not Small; among Anon's scaled goggles, the chart ticks only the M5S for Small helmets.

Among Anon's scaled goggles, the M4S frame is the biggest: 98 × 177 mm, against 94 × 164 mm for the M5S, 92 × 163 mm for the Nesa S and 92 × 162 mm for the M6S. That makes it the natural step for a medium face that finds the smaller scaled frames tight but the M4 loose.

The M4S lens pairing decides your flat-light days. Sunny Onyx colorways ship a 6% S4 lens with a 34% S2 spare, so neither lens is an S1 cloudy-day tint; the Sunny Red, Variable Blue and Variable Green colorways each come with an S1 spare. Anon doesn't publish a weight.

Strengths

  • +Same N52 Magna-Tech lens system as the full-size M4
  • +179° horizontal view with the cylindrical lens
  • +Largest frame among Anon's scaled goggles: 98 × 177 mm
  • +Second Perceive lens comes with the goggle
  • +Anon makes it in Regular and Low Bridge fits

Best For

Medium faces on Anon Medium or Large helmets that want the M4's magnetic lens system and cylindrical Perceive optics in a frame smaller than the full-size M4.

Limitations

  • −Less view than the M4: 179° / 92° against 188° / 96°
  • −Anon's helmet chart doesn't pair it with Small helmets
  • −Sunny Onyx colorways include no S1 cloudy-day spare
  • −Anon doesn't publish a weight

Not For

X-Large helmets, which Anon's chart ticks only for the M4 and Sync; Anon Small helmets, which it doesn't tick for the M4S; and riders who want the M4's larger view and fit its bigger frame. Riders who expect a lot of flat light should skip the Sunny Onyx colorways, whose spare lens is S2, not S1.

Common Questions

What is the difference between the Anon M4S and the M4?
Frame size and view. Anon's size guide lists the M4S at 98 × 177 mm with 179° / 92° of view on the cylindrical lens, and the M4 at 103 × 184 mm with 188° / 96°. The chart pairs the M4S with Medium and Large helmets and the M4 with Medium through X-Large; both use Magna-Tech.
Will the Anon M4S fit a small face?
Anon's wording varies: its feature list says the M4S fits medium faces, its tagline says small to medium, and its size guide files the frame as MED/LRG. Anon sizes the M5S, M6S and Nesa S for smaller faces, and of its scaled goggles only the M5S is ticked for Small helmets on its pairing chart. Try the M4S with your own helmet before you commit.
Does the Anon M4S work with an Anon MFI face mask?
Yes. Anon lists the M4S as MFI-compatible, and its carrier guide puts the M4S on the XL carrier, which comes in every Anon MFI mask along with the Small and Standard carriers.
What does Low Bridge mean on the Anon M4S?
Low Bridge is Anon's version for lower nose bridges, with extra face foam in the nose pocket that Anon says closes the gap and improves the seal. Regular Bridge is Anon's standard fit.
Which Anon M4S colorway is best for flat light?
One whose spare is an S1 lens: Sunny Red (14%, S3) ships with Cloudy Burst (59%, S1), and Variable Blue (21%, S2) or Variable Green (22%, S2) ship with Cloudy Pink (53%, S1). The Sunny Onyx colorways pair with a Variable Violet (34%, S2) spare, which Anon files under variable light.
