PTO Review
We know them. Here's how they stack up.
These snowboards span 2 categories (All-Mountain Freestyle, Park). Scores reflect each snowboard's intended use — direct comparison across all dimensions may be misleading.
Optisym Women's — intermediate-to-advanced women who ride park regularly and want balanced turns.. Disaster — park rats focused on jibs, rails, boxes, and presses.. Check the radar chart below to see where each one wins.
Each row compares all boards on one dimension. 🏆 marks the highest score.
| Dimension | Optisym Women's | Disaster |
|---|---|---|
| Carving | 6🏆 | 3 |
| Park | 8 | 10🏆 |
| Playfulness | 8🏆 | 7 |
| Forgiveness | 7 | 8🏆 |
| Stability | 6🏆 | 3 |
| Powder | 3🏆 | 2 |
Intermediate-to-advanced women who ride park regularly and want balanced turns. Freestyle riders who value butters, presses, and jibs. Women who've noticed they favor one edge over the other and want to fix it. Switch riders (true twin, zero setback).
Beginners still learning to link turns — the camber profile needs some technique. Aggressive carvers or freeride chargers. Powder riders. Women who need sizes above 146cm.
Park rats focused on jibs, rails, boxes, and presses. Riders progressing into park for the first time. Street-style riders. Anyone who wants a dedicated soft-flex park tool.
All-mountain riders who need one board for everything. Speed seekers. Powder riders. Advanced riders who need pop for big kickers — the Disaster is built for small-to-medium features, not boosting 40-footers.
Optisym Women's is best for intermediate-to-advanced women who ride park regularly and want balanced turns. Disaster is best for park rats focused on jibs, rails, boxes, and presses. The right choice depends on your terrain, ability, and riding style.
Nitro Optisym Women's has the highest Stability score in this comparison at 6/10. That score compares composure; it does not by itself mean the product is the most versatile choice.
Nitro Optisym Women's leads Carving in this comparison with a PTO score of 6/10.
Bataleon Disaster has the highest Forgiveness score here at 8/10. Forgiveness is one factor in progression, not a claim that every beginner should choose it.
