The take
“The women's freeride ski that feels effortless without feeling empty.”
The Rallybird Soul 92 is the women's counterpart to the Sender Soul 92. Same 92mm waist, same paulownia core, same full sidewall construction. But the Rallybird Soul 92 runs in shorter lengths (146-166 vs 156-184) with a slightly softer flex profile tuned for lighter skiers.
This is a better ski than the Rallybird 92 (the system-only version) in almost every measurable way. The full sidewall construction gives it meaningfully better edge hold. The Damp Tech vibration absorption smooths out the ride on firm snow. The Air Tip reduces swing weight for effortless direction changes. It feels more like a proper ski and less like a convenience package.
The character is freeride-friendly. Twin rocker lets it float in soft snow and release turns without catching. The progressive sidecut accommodates both skidded and carved turns, which is exactly what an intermediate-to-advanced woman needs -- a ski that doesn't force a specific technique. You can drift when the terrain calls for it and carve when you feel like it.
At ~1,350g per ski in the 156, it's light enough to be quick and easy all day. The paulownia core absorbs some chatter without being dead, keeping the ski responsive.
Available as both a system (with Xpress 11 bindings) and flat. The flat version gives you freedom to choose a binding that matches your DIN and style. For women in the DIN 7-11 range, the system binding is perfectly adequate.
This is the ski to recommend when a woman walks into the shop and says she wants to ski the whole mountain but doesn't want to wrestle her equipment to do it.
