The 12.5mm setback stance keeps the nose long enough to handle soft conditions without committing fully to freeride geometry, and the Flat Kick Tech at the tip and tail softens how aggressively it engages when you catch an edge on exit. The MEGACARBON layup — wide carbon tape running over the top and bottom of the woodcore — and the sintered MEGADRIVE XT base are where the real differences from the standard Mercury show up: the carbon adds meaningful pop out of ollies and snap when loading a carve, and the race-grade base is noticeably faster and more durable.
