The take
“When you need one ski and you don't know what the mountain will give you.”
The Black Pearl 94 is the widest in the Black Pearl line, and it's where the ski shifts from groomer-first to genuine all-mountain. 94mm underfoot handles everything short of deep powder — groomers, crud, light off-piste, trees, and the occasional powder stash.
The construction steps up from the 88 — you feel the extra weight at 1,750g, but you also feel the extra stability. In chopped-up afternoon conditions, the 94 stays composed where the 84 and 88 start to get pushed around. TrueBlend core with titanal does what it always does — plant and damp.
14.5m radius is slightly longer than the 84 and 88, which makes sense at this width. The ski wants medium to long turns. In tight trees or moguls, it'll work, but it's not its happy place. On open faces and wide groomers, it's excellent.
This is the Black Pearl for skiers who actually venture off the groomed runs. Compared to the Nordica Enforcer 94, the Black Pearl is noticeably lighter and more forgiving — easier to ski all day. The Enforcer is stiffer, more damp, and more authoritative at speed. Different skis for different priorities.
