Top of the Strive line. DIN 7-16 with MultiNorm compatibility — this is Salomon's answer to the Look Pivot 2.0 15 for aggressive skiers. The ultra-low-profile toe and heritage heel design provide direct power transfer and strong retention. Same 45mm elastic travel in the toe.

The Strive 16 starts at DIN 7, so it's not for lighter skiers. This is for big, strong, aggressive riders who need high retention and want multinorm boot compatibility. Compared to the Pivot 2.0 15, you get a lower stack height and MN compatibility but give up the turntable heel's elastic travel.

Best For

Expert-level aggressive skiers who need high DIN settings and want multinorm boot compatibility with a low-profile design.

Not For

Anyone whose DIN is below 10 — the minimum DIN of 7 is too high for most intermediate skiers, and you're paying for retention you won't use.

Common Questions

Salomon Strive 16 MN vs Look Pivot 2.0 15 — which is better?
Different strengths. The Pivot has a turntable heel with better impact retention for park/big drops. The Strive 16 has a lower stack height and multinorm compatibility. Pivot for impact absorption, Strive for versatility and ski feel.
