Boot Sole
The higher-DIN SPX. Same conventional heel design as the SPX 11 with 27mm of vertical elasticity and 45mm toe lateral travel, but goes up to DIN 13 for stronger skiers. The oversize heel pivot improves power transmission compared to the 11.
This sits in an interesting spot — cheaper and lighter than the Pivot 2.0 13, but without the turntable heel. If you're a strong all-mountain skier who doesn't do park or cliff drops, the SPX 13 gives you everything you need at a lower price.
Best For
Strong intermediate to advanced all-mountain skiers who want a solid binding at a fair price and don't need turntable-heel retention.
Not For
Park skiers or anyone who regularly takes big drops — the conventional heel can't match the Pivot's elastic travel under impact.
