The POCito Skull is POC's kids' race helmet — built for junior skiers who spend real time on real terrain, not just the bunny slope. The shell is injected PC/ABS hardshell with a multi-impact EPP liner and a full aramid penetration barrier underneath, which is POC's way of protecting against sharp object contact on a race course or terrain park. There's no rotational-impact system (no MIPS or SPIN) — this is a traditional hardshell construction tuned for impact absorption at the speeds kids actually ski. It carries an EN 1077 Class A certification, the higher of the two ski-helmet safety classes. A turnwheel adjuster dials in fit, and the helmet includes a RECCO avalanche rescue reflector, which is unusual for a kids' lid. The fluorescent shell and included reflective stickers aren't cosmetic — high visibility genuinely matters when small skiers are harder to spot on a busy run. The accessory pack (LED light, fluorescent vest, My Info goggle clip for parent contact info) adds real-world safety value, not just box-fill.
Who this is for: kids who are progressing past beginner terrain and need real head protection — junior racers, park-curious groms, or any kid whose parent wants a certified race-spec lid rather than a basic resort helmet. Who should skip it: adults (this is sized for kids only, XS/S and M/L up to ~58cm head circumference), or parents looking for a lighter everyday helmet — the aramid barrier adds weight and purpose that a casual ski day doesn't require.
