POC Arcus Ski Helmet
Arcus family · 26/27

Technology
Mips
A low-friction layer inside the helmet that lets it move a few millimeters on an angled impact, designed to help redirect rotational force away from your head.
Hybrid ABS + PC Shell
An ABS lower section paired with a polycarbonate in-mould top, over an EPS liner — a stiffer, race-flavored build than a single in-mould shell.
BOA Fit System
POC uses a BOA dial here instead of its usual 360° cradle. A single adjuster spreads tension evenly around the head for a wrap-style fit.
Magnetic Three-Step Vent
A central vent channel feeds a magnetic vent with three settings you can work with gloves on, without fiddling with sliders.
Features
- ·BOA fit system rather than the usual 360° dial
- ·Magnetic three-step vent, glove-friendly
- ·Goggle chimneys plus an integrated goggle clip
- ·Detachable ear pads
- ·Clean integration with POC goggles
- ·Race-helmet attitude with hockey-inspired design
The Arcus is the one POC helmet that breaks from the house fit system, and that is the reason to try it. Instead of the 360° cradle dial POC puts on nearly everything else, the Arcus runs a BOA fit system: a single adjuster pulls a cable that spreads tension evenly around the whole head, for a wrap-style hold rather than a band that cinches at the back. It feels different on. Whether it feels better is personal, which is exactly why this is a helmet to try in person before you commit.
The shell backs up the race attitude POC gives it. It is a hybrid build — an ABS lower section with a polycarbonate in-mould top — over an EPS liner, stiffer and more purposeful than a plain single in-mould shell. Mips sits inside to help manage the rotational force of an angled impact. Venting is a central channel feeding a magnetic three-step vent you can work in gloves, and it takes goggle chimneys, an integrated goggle clip and detachable ear pads. Certification is broad — EN 1077 Class B, ASTM F2040 and ISO 18527-1. We only have a verified M/L weight of 550g so far; POC has not published the XS-S or XL-XXL figures.
In the POC lineup the Arcus is the design-forward all-mountain lid, drawing its look from the race program and hockey. It is not the lightest option POC makes — if grams and the familiar 360°-dial feel matter most to you, an Obex or Fornix is the lighter, more conventional pick. The Arcus is for the skier who wants a stiffer, precise, race-flavored helmet and is curious about a fit that is not the usual dial. Get the BOA on your head before you buy.

Common Questions
- Does the POC Arcus use a 360° dial like other POC helmets?
- No. The Arcus uses a BOA fit system — a single dial that spreads tension evenly around the head — rather than POC’s usual 360° cradle. It is the helmet’s signature feature and worth trying on in person.
- What certifications does the POC Arcus meet?
- It is certified to EN 1077 Class B, ASTM F2040 and ISO 18527-1.
- How much does the POC Arcus weigh?
- The M/L weighs 550g. POC has not yet published verified weights for the XS-S and XL-XXL sizes.
- Is the POC Arcus a race helmet or an all-mountain helmet?
- It is an all-mountain helmet with race-inspired attitude and a stiffer hybrid ABS + PC shell. It is certified EN 1077 Class B for resort skiing, not a FIS-homologated race lid — the race influence is in the build and looks, not the homologation.
- What is the difference between the Arcus BOA fit and POC’s 360° dial?
- Both tighten with a dial, but the 360° system cinches a full-perimeter cradle, while the BOA fit system pulls a cable that wraps tension evenly around the head for a different, more enveloping feel. POC uses BOA only on the Arcus, so try it on to see which you prefer.
