The take
“Your favorite snowboarder's favorite board. Gets the balance right between pop, precision, and everyday rideability.”
The Nitro Team has been in the lineup for over two decades, and it's still here because it does the one thing most boards struggle with: it does everything well and nothing badly. That sounds boring on paper, but on snow it means you never feel like you're on the wrong board.
The Powerlite core is the upgrade that separates the 2026 Team from older versions — ultra-lightweight poplar instead of the heavier Powercore II. Less weight, more pop, same durability. The Reflex Core Profile thins out the core between your feet for better torsional flex and quicker edge-to-edge transitions. Combined with True Camber, the board has real snap and legitimate edge hold on hardpack.
The Dual Degressive sidecut is worth understanding: a tighter radius between the bindings with larger radii at the tip and tail. In practice, it means the board initiates turns quickly but doesn't hook up aggressively — it's loose and playful when you want it to be, precise when you put it on edge. Snowboard Robot nailed it: this board "gets the balance right."
Made in Austria. Sintered base. Full camber. $579.95. At this price, most competitors are giving you extruded bases or hybrid camber. Nitro gives you neither compromise.
