Last Width

103mmWide (102mm+)

The Mach1 HV 130 brings Tecnica's T-Drive technology and C.A.S. customization to wide-footed experts. The 103mm high-volume last gives room where the MV 130 (100mm) doesn't — wider forefoot, more instep clearance, and a less cramped toe box. But wide doesn't mean sloppy: the T-Drive cuff linkage still delivers smooth, consistent flex, and the C.A.S. shell + liner heat-mold to lock your foot in place. The elastic power strap adds progressive pressure without the hard stop of a Velcro strap.

At $680 (same price as the MV 130), you're not paying a premium for the wider fit — just choosing your volume. The 12-degree forward lean (vs. 13.3° on the MV) reflects the wider boot's slightly more upright stance. For wide-footed experts who've been cramming into medium-volume boots or settling for soft wide boots, this is the answer: full 130 flex in a boot that actually fits.

Strengths

  • +T-Drive flex with 103mm wide last — expert performance for wide feet
  • +Full C.A.S. heat-moldable shell and liner for complete customization
  • +Size range extends to 32.5 — accommodates larger feet

Best For

Expert wide-footed skiers who refuse to compromise on flex stiffness or shell technology for a wider last.

Limitations

  • Premium $680 price
  • No walk mode — alpine-only boot
  • 130 flex is demanding — lighter wide-footed skiers should try the HV 120

Not For

Medium or narrow feet (too loose), intermediates (130 flex is too stiff), anyone needing walk mode, or budget buyers.

Common Questions

What is the difference between HV 130 and MV 130?
Same flex (130), same T-Drive, same C.A.S. tech, same weight (2070g), same price ($680). The HV has a 103mm last and 12° forward lean; the MV has a 100mm last and 13.3° forward lean. Choose based on foot width — HV for wide, MV for medium.
Is 103mm considered wide?
Yes. In the ski boot industry, lasts 102mm and above are considered wide/high volume. The 103mm HV last gives noticeably more room than a 100mm MV boot, especially in the forefoot and instep.
