Summer doesn't mean the ski season is over. Our indoor facility in Beaverton runs ski and snowboard camps throughout the summer for kids ages 5 and up. All equipment is included, the facility is climate-controlled, and your child gets real coaching — not just babysitting with skis.

What Kids Do at Camp

Camp days are built around structured skill progression on our Maxxtracks revolving slope. Each session includes warm-up exercises, on-slope instruction in small groups, video review, and off-slope activities like balance drills and gear education.

Instructors work with each camper's ability level. First-timers learn balance, wedge turns, and stopping. Returning campers work on parallel turns, carving fundamentals, or switch riding — whatever their next milestone is.

Daily Schedule

  • Morning check-in: Gear fitting, warm-up, and group assignments.
  • Session 1: On-slope instruction with rotating small groups.
  • Lunch break: Bring your own lunch. We have a supervised break area.
  • Session 2: More slope time with skill challenges and progressions.
  • Cool-down: Video review of the day's riding, plus next-day goals.

Half-day camps follow a similar structure with one on-slope session and shorter off-slope activities.

Ages and Requirements

Camps are open to kids ages 5 and up. No prior ski or snowboard experience is required — we take complete beginners and group them with other beginners. Kids who've skied before are grouped by ability so they're always challenged.

All equipment is provided: boots, skis or snowboard, and helmet. Campers should wear comfortable athletic clothing (no jeans) and bring a water bottle. Sunscreen is not needed — we're indoors.

What Parents Should Know

  • Drop-off and pick-up: Our Beaverton facility has easy parking and a dedicated drop-off area.
  • Instructor ratio: Small groups ensure every camper gets individual attention.
  • Safety: Helmets are mandatory. The revolving slope runs at controlled speeds appropriate for each group.
  • Progress tracking: Instructors share end-of-camp feedback on each child's progress and recommended next steps.

Pricing and Registration

Camp pricing varies by duration (full-day vs. half-day) and session length (single day, 3-day, or week-long). All equipment is included in the camp fee.

Why Summer Camp?

Kids who ski or ride over the summer start the winter season ahead of where they left off instead of spending the first few days re-learning last year's skills. Indoor training builds muscle memory that sticks. And for kids who've never tried skiing or snowboarding, summer camp is a low-pressure way to find out if they love it — before you invest in a season pass and gear.
