Union sells the Rosa as "the lightest traditional women's snowboard binding on the market" — 1.46 kg a pair, and that is a weight claim, not a performance one. Its own scorecard is the better guide to what it does: all-mountain 6, performance 5, freestyle 7, freeride 4. Those are entry numbers, and the flex reads 4 of 10 on Union's scale — soft and forgiving rather than stiff and driven. Union's copy is clear about the job: linking your first turns, cruising groomers, a first lap through the park, and staying comfortable all day while you keep progressing.
The soft feel is engineered, not incidental. The baseplate and highback use base-grade S8 and CP3 Duraflex nylon, the grade without the added fiberglass Union puts in its stiffer chassis — that is what keeps the Rosa light and easy instead of responsive. A Thermoformed EVA bushing under the baseplate does basic shock absorption, a rung below the Molecular suspension on the premium models. There is no canting, and the straps set with steel screws rather than a quick-lock lever. Every one of those choices trades response and adjustability for comfort and a lower price.
None of that makes it a do-it-all binding, and the women's line spells out the alternatives. If you want one binding to grow across the whole hill, the Juliet is the all-mountain step-up — Union scores it 7 all-mountain and 6 freeride on a stiffer Camber Disk with canting, at 1.69 kg a pair, though it drops the Rosa's Burton 3D fit. If the park is where you live, the Legacy scores freestyle 9 on a Mini Disk against the Rosa's soft entry 7. The Rosa itself is the lighter twin of the men's and unisex Flite Pro — same Union scores and the same Universal V2 Disk, 1.46 kg a pair against the Flite Pro's 1.54 kg, in a women's size run and colorways.
One genuine strength stands apart: the Universal V2 Disk is the only Union snowboard disk that adds Burton 3D on top of 4x2, 4x4 and Channel, so there is no board it will not mount — the older-Burton problem that stops the Juliet and Legacy simply is not one here. Size by your boot, never your weight; the Rosa runs S through L only, with no XL in the women's chart. And be clear on what a snowboard binding is not: it has no DIN and no release, it holds your boot to the board, and its specs describe feel and weight, not protection. We have not ridden the 26/27 Rosa — this is a read of Union's catalog and price sheet — but it is an entry carry-over model, and everything here is Union's own published spec.

Technology
Universal V2 Disk
Union's mounting disk, and the only snowboard disk in its line that adds Burton 3D on top of 4x2, 4x4 and Channel. That is what lets the Rosa mount on any current board, including older Burton 3D decks that Union's Camber Disk and Mini Disk bindings cannot fit.
S8 / CP3 Duraflex chassis
Base-grade Duraflex nylon in the baseplate and highback — Union's standard cold-consistent nylon, without the added fiberglass of the stiffer ST, CB and XC grades. It keeps the chassis soft, light and inexpensive, which is why the Rosa sits at flex 4. A forgiving feel, not a responsive one.
Thermoformed EVA bushing
A classic thermoformed EVA pad under the baseplate for basic shock absorption and even board flex — a step below the Molecular and Vaporlite suspension bushings on Union's premium bindings.
Lightweight construction
A base-nylon chassis with entry straps and the Universal V2 Disk, weighing 1.46 kg a pair. Union bills it as the lightest traditional women's binding on the market; the light, soft build is aimed at all-day comfort and progression, not at driving a stiff board hard.

Hard-charging all-mountain riders who want one binding to grow into should look at the stiffer women's Juliet; dedicated park riders who want real freestyle performance want the women's Legacy or Ultra Women. And riders who want canting or a quick-lock strap will not find either here.

- Will the Union Rosa fit my board?
- Yes. The Universal V2 Disk fits every insert pattern in use today: 4x2, 4x4, Burton Channel, and Burton's older 3D three-hole layout. It is the only Union snowboard disk that adds 3D, so unlike the Camber Disk and Mini Disk models there is no board it will not mount. If you are not sure what your board uses, send us the model and we will check.
- What size Union Rosa should I order?
- Size follows your boot, not your weight. Union's women's chart runs S for about US women's 4–6.5, M for 6.5–8.5 and L for 9–11, and the Rosa comes in S, M and L only — there is no XL. Tell us your boot and we will confirm the size.
