The Team Pro MK TLS is Nitro's Marcus Kleveland signature boot, built around a stiff 8/10 flex that is there for a specific reason: Marcus rides fast, hits large features, and needs a boot that transmits force immediately without any slop in the system. The shell is reinforced with Nitro's Armored Spine and Internal Ankle Support to hold your heel and cuff locked down through landings and high-speed carves, and a Power Tongue Stiffener — which is removable if you want to back the flex down a notch — firms up the cuff where it counts. The closure is Nitro's TLS Twin Lacing System: two independent zones, upper and lower, each tightened with a single pull of low-abrasion Dyneema cord and locked off with a compact mechanism, plus a Bail-Out quick-release to get out fast. You can crank the ankle zone and the toe box separately, which matters a lot if your foot needs different tension in each area. Inside, the Cloud 9 liner is heat-moldable — you can have it baked to your foot shape, which eliminates most of the break-in pain that a stiff boot at this level otherwise demands. The ILS Internal Lacing System tethers the liner lace to the shell so your heel doesn't lift when the liner compresses. An Ortholite High Cup dual-density footbed and a Vibram Ecostep outsole (30% recycled rubber) round out a boot that is built to perform at a high level from the first day out, not the tenth.
This boot is for advanced freestyle riders — park, urban, larger jumps, technical rails — who already know their foot shape and are comfortable in a stiff setup. If you are an intermediate rider stepping up, or if you ride primarily groomed runs and mellow all-mountain terrain, the flex here will work against you: a stiff boot on a casual day feels punishing, not supportive, and you will fatigue faster than you expect. The standard Nitro Team TLS sits at a medium-stiff flex and is the better call for most advancing riders who are not yet in the park every day. Volume-wise, this boot fits best on a medium-volume foot; if you run narrow heels or a very low-volume foot, the fit may feel sloppy in ways heat-molding alone cannot fix — come in and we will put you in the right last before you buy. Flex and foot volume have to match the rider, not just the model name on the box.
