The Bataleon Women's Ghost FASE is the women's version of the binding that launched Bataleon's MonoFrame chassis, and the first thing to be clear about is what it is not. It is not the Blaster: the Ghost rides a one-piece composite MonoFrame, unlike the aluminum AsymWrap frame the Blaster line uses. And it is not the men's/uni Ghost, which is a separate model on the same platform with a longer size run. This is the women's binding. FASE is Bataleon's fast-entry system: step in and the Ghost Highback auto-closes behind your heel, the pre-set toe strap holds, and the long FastStrap ankle ladder — still connected — lets you re-tension with a pull or two, standing at the top of the run instead of sitting in the snow.
Underfoot, the Ghost's MonoFrame is a single composite piece with fiberglass added for response, and Bataleon rates it a flex 5, the most forgiving binding in its FASE range. That is the whole character: it flexes with the board for a playful, surfy ride rather than a stiff, locked-in one. Bataleon's own terrain read puts it high for park and resort riding and lower for powder, which matches the soft flex — a relaxed all-mountain and freestyle binding, not a charging tool. The Ghost Highback is tuned for added tweakability, and the AuxTech ankle and toe straps use auxetic patterns that expand around the boot without hard pressure points.
One sibling pulls harder-riding women off the Ghost, and it is stiffer. If you ride fast and want more drive, the Women's Blaster AW FASE steps up to a flex 6 on Bataleon's firmer aluminum AsymWrap chassis, with a 2-degree canted footbed. The Ghost gives up that response on purpose, in exchange for a softer, more playful feel; if a canted footbed matters to you, note the Ghost runs a flat EVA Sub-Base Pad — the canting is the Blaster's, not this binding's. And there is a size ceiling: the women's Ghost tops out at M, so a boot that needs a larger shell has to move to the men's/uni Ghost, which runs to L.
Two honest gaps before you buy the Ghost. Bataleon does not publish its mounting pattern and ships a FASE-only disc, so check that disc against your board's inserts before you commit — especially on a Burton Channel board, where you should not assume it fits. Bataleon publishes no weight and no clean boot-size chart for the Ghost's women's shell sizes, so fit the actual boot rather than a number. At PTO the women's Ghost ships in Gray Pistachio only, in the S and M shells — no XS, no Black, and no L exists in the women's run. We have not ridden it: this is read from Bataleon's catalog and the FASE system page, not from laps on snow.

MonoFrame Chassis
Bataleon's all-new one-piece composite platform, with fiberglass added for response. Bataleon frames it as a single-piece chassis that gives a consistent flex and lets the board flex naturally underfoot — an easy, low-fuss feel rather than a stiff, locked-in one. It is the Ghost's own platform, not the aluminum three-point AsymWrap frame the Blaster line uses. The women's model runs the same MonoFrame chassis as the men's/uni Ghost, in a women's size band.
FASE Fast Entry System
Bataleon's fast-entry mechanism, and still a two-strap binding — nothing clicks onto the boot sole and there is no plate to step onto. You load the boot hands-free, the highback closes behind your heel, and the pre-set toe strap plus the long, still-connected ankle ladder let you re-tension standing up. It keeps working with any standard snowboard boot.
AutoBack / Ghost Highback
The auto-closing highback at the heart of the fast-entry claim: it closes automatically as the boot enters, opens when it is time to unstrap, and folds flat for skating, chairlifts and storage. The Ghost's version is tuned for added tweakability, in step with the soft, playful flex.
AuxTech straps (3D AuxTech Cradle FastStrap + AuxTech ToeStrap)
Bataleon describes AuxTech as auxetic hinged patterns that expand around the boot without stretching or distorting, so the straps wrap the foot without hard pressure points. The FastStrap ankle ladder is the long, always-connected strap that makes the one-handed re-tension work.

- No. It is a two-strap binding whose Ghost Highback auto-closes as the boot enters and whose FastStrap ankle ladder stays on the buckle. You strap in standing up and still fine-tune the ankle with a ratchet — nothing clicks onto the boot sole and there is no plate to step onto. It works with any standard snowboard boot.
- How is the women's Ghost different from the Women's Blaster?
- They are different platforms, not two versions of one. The Ghost rides Bataleon's composite MonoFrame platform and sits soft, at flex 5.
