The Feelbetter is Bataleon's softest progression twin, aimed at the rider who is still learning to link turns and ride switch rather than the one hunting speed. Bataleon prints the flex at 3 out of 10 - genuinely soft - and calls it a board for ambitious riders building their all-mountain skills. Bataleon labels the shape a Directional Twin, and it helps to be precise about what that means here: the twin half is a symmetrical sidecut on a centered stance, so switch feels natural; the directional half is nothing more than a nose cut a little longer than the tail. The inserts are centered and Bataleon publishes no setback, so this is not a directional powder deck, whatever the name suggests.
The forgiveness comes from how the base is shaped. Bataleon builds a positive-camber center zone under the bindings for pop and edge grip, then lifts the two side edges of the nose and tail up away from the snow - that raised sidebase is the 3BT idea, and it is why the board is slow to catch and quick to start a turn.
