The take

Nitro's most serious women's board — evo's field testers called the stability and clean response 'unmatched.'

The Karma is the board Nitro makes for women who are done being told to ride softer, more forgiving gear. True Camber, flex 6 that feels stiffer than the number suggests, directional shape, Reflex Core Profile for added torsional stiffness, and the Speed Formula II HD base — Nitro's fastest base material, the same one used on the Alternator. This board doesn't hold your hand.

evo's field test team put it bluntly: the stability and clean response is unmatched in the women's category. That's a strong claim, but the construction backs it up. The Progressive sidecut (larger radius in the nose, tighter in the tail) creates deep, seamless carves that accelerate out of the turn. The mid-wide shape gives you room to pressure the board without toe drag. The Reflex Core Profile adds edge-to-edge control that most women's boards don't even attempt.

On groomers, the Karma wants to go fast. It wants deep carves and committed turns. It rewards aggressive riding and punishes hesitation. In trees and variable terrain, it's surprisingly maneuverable given the stiffness — the evo team noted that it handled tight spaces well despite the rigid feel. In powder, the directional shape and mid-wide stance provide decent float.

But there's no sugar-coating it: this board has a high skill threshold. If you're still working on your edge control or you prefer a relaxed, surfy riding style, the Karma will fight you. The True Camber profile catches edges on riders who aren't controlling their weight precisely. The stiff flex is tiring for lighter riders or anyone who doesn't have the leg strength to load it properly.

Three sizes only (144–152), which limits the audience further. But for the advanced-to-expert woman who wants a board that matches her ability — not one that patronizes her — the Karma is one of the strongest options in the women's freeride space.
