Flex 120
Very StiffLast Width
96mm— Narrow (96–99mm)
The Raptor WCR 120 PV is a race boot with the adjustable flex dialed back to a more accessible 120 (from 130). The 96mm last with deep heel pocket and long toe box is built for narrow-to-medium feet that need precise, locked-in heel retention — the kind of fit where you feel every edge input immediately. The WCR Pro liner with Liquid Fit injections lets a bootfitter fine-tune the fit around the ankle and heel with liquid foam.
This is not a comfort boot. It's a race-derived tool for strong skiers who carve hard on groomers, train gates, or want the most direct ski-to-foot connection possible. The FIS-approved sole makes it legal for sanctioned racing. At $517, it's a serious commitment to performance.
Strengths
- +Deep heel pocket with Liquid Fit liner — exceptional heel retention
- +Adjustable flex (130-120) lets you tune stiffness to conditions and preference
- +Low-profile racing alloy buckles for minimal drag and precise closure
Best For
Narrow-footed advanced-to-expert skiers and club racers who prioritize precision, heel retention, and edge-to-edge response.
Limitations
- −Narrow 96mm last is unforgiving — wide or even medium feet will suffer
- −No walk mode — strictly a ski-and-race boot
- −Race-level stiffness and precision demand strong technique to use effectively
Not For
Medium or wide feet (100mm+ last needed), comfort-oriented skiers, beginners or intermediates, or anyone who needs walk mode.
Common Questions
- What is Liquid Fit?
- A bootfitting technique where liquid foam is injected into chambers in the liner around the ankle and heel. The foam expands and hardens to fill voids, creating a custom mold of your foot for maximum heel retention. Done by a trained bootfitter in-shop.
- Is the Raptor WCR 120 good for recreational skiing?
- Only if you are an expert-level skier with narrow feet who craves precision. For most recreational skiers, even advanced ones, a boot like the Tecnica Mach1 MV 120 or Salomon S/PRO Supra Dual BOA 120 will be more comfortable and versatile.
- What is the difference between WCR 120 and WCR 130S?
- The 130S has the same 96mm last, stiffer flex (130), and a short-cuff design. The 120 also has a 96mm last, adjustable flex (130-120), and standard cuff height. The 130S is for serious racers; the 120 is for performance-oriented recreational skiers and club racers.
