A Winter Note from PTO Ski & Snowboard

This winter has tested Portland in ways we didn't expect. Between ice storms, power outages, and road closures, it hasn't been easy for anyone. We've had our share of canceled lessons and rescheduled camps. But through it all, the one constant has been the incredible spirit of our community.

Every time we've reopened after a storm, families have shown up — sometimes driving through slush and fog — because their kids couldn't wait to get back on the slope. That kind of dedication reminds us why we do what we do. Skiing and snowboarding aren't just sports. For many of our families, they're a source of joy, confidence, and connection.

We've also been humbled by the support we've received from our neighbors. Local businesses checking in, parents offering to help with shoveling, kids drawing pictures for our coaches. Beaverton is a real community, and PTO is proud to be part of it.

As we push through the rest of winter, we want you to know: we're here. Lessons are running, the machines are warm, and our coaches are ready. If the roads keep you home, we'll be here when you're ready to come back. Stay safe, stay warm, and we'll see you soon.
