Why We Are Here

Since 2010, my journey with skiing began on the slopes of Blue Mountain, Pennsylvania. I remember the first time I clicked into a pair of rental skis — the cold air, the nervous excitement, the absolute certainty that I was going to fall. And I did fall. A lot. But something about that day changed me. I was hooked.

Over the years, skiing became more than a hobby. It became the thing I planned my life around. I moved west for bigger mountains, spent weekends chasing powder, and eventually started teaching friends and family. I saw firsthand how transformative learning to ski could be — not just physically, but in confidence, resilience, and pure joy.

When I discovered indoor ski machines, everything clicked. Here was a way to teach people without the intimidation of a mountain, without the cold, without the crowds. A controlled environment where a coach could stand right next to you and adjust in real time. I knew this was how I wanted to share skiing with my community.

PTO Ski & Snowboard Center is the result of that vision. We built this place for the kid who's never seen snow, the parent who wants to learn alongside their child, the adult who always wanted to try but never had the chance. We're here because skiing changed our lives, and we believe it can change yours too.
