Description
Whether as a freeride ski or on the slopes, a true all-rounder like the Stormrider 88 knows how to impress everywhere. Rocker technologies from the freeride segment provide excellent lift in fresh snow. The waist width of 88 mm and the sporty tailoring also allow great carving on the slopes. Thanks to slight adjustments to the wood core, it’s now even more playful and agile than ever. So, what are you waiting for? Off to the mountains with you.

Stöckli Stormrider 88

The take
“Like a race ski and an all-mountain ski had a love child — exceptionally smooth and stable at speed.”
The Stormrider 88 is the narrowest ski in Stöckli's Stormrider freeride lineup, and it's really a carving-focused all-mountain ski in disguise. Dual titanal sheets, a Paulownia-poplar light core, and Stöckli's signature build quality make this one of the smoothest, most composed skis you can put on hardpack.
The 2026/2027 model received meaningful updates: a softer tail flex for easier turn release, a full rubber insert in the tip for quieter performance, and a lighter construction overall. The upper metal laminate now doubles as the topsheet, putting metal closer to the foot for a smoother feel. The result is a ski that's more playful and versatile than previous generations while keeping the carving precision that defines the Stormrider line.
On firm mornings, the SR88 holds aggressive edge angles with race-level grip. In afternoon crud, bumps, and trees, the weight savings and softer tail make it more maneuverable than you'd expect from a double-metal ski. It's not a powder ski — 88mm underfoot won't float in deep snow — but as a one-ski quiver for firm-snow-dominant resorts, it's hard to beat.
